Central NH Flames Pathfinder Club

Coming up in 2 weeks!!

Get ready for the 2025 International Food Festival, being held on January 17, in the church Fellowship Hall. All the proceeds go to support our local Pathfinder Club!

The International Food Festival is an annual event hosted by the members and friends of the church. Here are some frequently asked questions about the event.

1. How does the event work?

Each member or friend of the church, that wishes to participate, will select a country (any country) in the world and prepare a dish from that country, to be shared with the attendees of the event. The participants will be provided a table in the Fellowship Hall, the night of the event, that they will use to serve their selected country’s food. It is also encouraged to decorate your food “station” with information, decorations or elements from the country they have chosen to represent. Representing the country can range from documents or maps depicting information about your country (think Poster Board Presentations). You can have a video playing that provides information or views of your selected country, and we have even had people go so far as to dress in clothing that is cultural to the area.

The night of the event, attendees will pay a fee to attend the event that will allow them to go around the Fellowship Hall to each “country’s” table and sample the food that has been prepared. Those members/ friends that have chosen to host a country will not have to pay the admission fee, your (non-refundable) contribution of hosting a food station is admission fee enough.

2. What is the purpose of the event?

The event serves as a fundraiser for our Pathfinder group to allow them to purchase uniforms, attend camporees, and participate in other Pathfinder events.

3. How many people attend?
Each year, we are blessed with increased attendance. Last year
we easily had over 100 people “tour the world” in our Fellowship Hall.

4. Do I have to cook food for over 100 people?  No. Participants are only offering a sample of food from their country. For example, a small cup of soup, an ice cream sized scoop of a rice dish, a single cookie, etc. There will be enough food at the event for people to leave full, but no one is expecting a single table to fill everyone.

5. Who is this year’s coordinator for the event? Jim Hunold will be coordinating this year.

6. What if I have more questions? More details will be provided as the event gets closer. You can reach out to Jim Hunold if you have any questions that don’t get answered.
